Musée Franco-Australien
Créé en 1975,
le musée de Villers-Bretonneux illustre le rôle
tenu par les troupes australiennes lors de la première
guerre mondiale. Il présente de nombreux documents
très émouvants ainsi que des reproductions d'archives
officielles.

Anzac Day Dawn Service
Officials are requested
to arrive before 05 am. Ceremony will start at 05.15 am
and will take an hour.
After
the ceremony, all guests and participants are invited lo
light refreshments hosted by the Conseil Général
de la Somme in nearby catering tent.
There
will be a march-past by participants in the township of
Villers-Bretonneux between 10.30 and 11.00 am, followed
by the Presentation of the Replica of the Villers-Bretonneux
Cross by the Very Reverend Dr John Shepherd of St George's
Cathedral in Perth, Western Australia, in the square in
front of the local churc St Jean-Baptiste at 11.00 am.

Anniversaire de l'Anzac Day
Commémoration
non officielle, au
mémoriel Franco-Australien. Cette cérémonie,
commanditée par une délégation australienne
sera l'occasion de rendre hommage aux diggers qui ont combattu
lors de la première guerre mondiale.
Défilé
dans les rues du centre ville de 10 h à 10 h 30, puis
vers 11 h, aura lieu un rassemlement sur le parvis de l'église
St Jean-Baptiste, où la Croix de St George sera présentée
et bénie par le doyen de Perth, le Premier ministre
d'Australie occidentale et les personnalités locales.

For many years, the Orchestre
de Picardie has seen its public growing, and its reputation
today is undisputed, be it by professionals or by the public.
With 24 years of experience and more than 100 concerts a year,
the 37 musicians of the Orchestre de Picardie will present
the following pieces : Alfred Schnittke Quasi una Sonata,
Richard Strauss Concerto for Cor n°1 op.1, Ludwig Van
Beethoven Symphonie n°7 in A major op.92, Directed by
Vladimir Kiradjev and soliste Trudor Ungureanu.

Australian National Memorial
10.00 Commemoration
Anzac Day 2008
The ANZAC Day ceremony at
the Australian National Memorial will start at 10 am. As
from 9am shuttle buses will regularly leave from the car
park at the railway station for the ceremony. Refreshments
will be served before the ceremony in a tent to the left
of the Memorial, generously provided by the Conseil General
of the Somme.
There will be wreath-laying
service at the French Memorial at the town centre next to
the town hall at 11.30am.
The final event of the morning
will be the presentation to the successful candidate of
the Sadlier-Stokes Scholarship (12:30 at the Marché
Couvert). Every year, this scholarship is awarded to a student
living in the towns of Villers-Bretonneux, Bullecourt, Pozières,
Péronne, Fromelles and Le Hamel.

Anzac Day 2008
L'opportunité pour
tous de pouvoir assister aux commémorations historiques
et rendre hommage par la même occasion aux Anzac.
Dès 8 h, des navettes partiront régulièrement
du parking de la gare SNCF à destination du mémorial
Australien.
Vers 11 h 30, une cérémonie,
enprésence de l'Abassadeur Australien aura lieu au
monument aux morts de France.
Vers 12 h 30, au Marché
Couvert remise de la bourse SADLIER-STOKES et concours de
dessin.
Les deux évènements
auront lieu en présence des officiels, des personnaliés,
des représentants des familles SADLIER-STOKES venus
d'Australie, et d'un jury d'enseignants et d'artistes qui
primeront les dessins des enfants des écoles de Villers-Bretonneux.
